Happenings of the 4th

Where did the weekend go? It went with family and friends. The weekend started off with visits by Greg, Diane and family. They were in town for the weekend from Massachusetts. Greg and Diane arrived Thursday. Mark, Derek and Emily all arrived on Friday. Mark was excited to show Uncle Gary his 4-wheeler. It was funny to hear Mark ask Uncle Gary if he wanted to ride his wheeler after the many years Mark rode his. The excitement at arrival. Ready to ride Whitaker Woods.
Laura and Kelly were just as excited to have Uncle Greg visit. They quickly got him into a round of UNO. Saturday afternoon started with a bbq at Sheila's. Only I forgot my camera. Yikes! We gathered later at our house and Laura took Uncle Greg for a ride. He looked a little nervous with his eyes shut. Kelly taking her turn with Uncle Greg.Sunday took us to Sixberry. The girls were treated to the air mattress that didn't survive the tent the night before. It sure made for a nice raft though. They floated around the lake with our neighbor Joe. Kelly demonstrating you can never be to safe around water. She later added the snorkel with goggles to swim with. What a character.
Cannon ball! Nice air to your jump Laura!
Kelly made it to the raft with a little help from her big sister.
Ever since Laura swam to the raft the first time, I have been taking pictures of her with her fingers and how old she is. I'll have to put them together someday to see how she has changed.
And what would the 4th of July be without baling some hay? While the girls and I were cooling in the lake, Gary was hard at work with the hay.
